Week 8, Lesson 7 Reflection (Kai Xiang)

In our last lesson, we edited the survey based on Mrs Neo's advice and decided that I would be the one making the survey using Google Documents. We also took a vote on what type of game we would choose for the project, the majority of the group chose Roleplaying Game while the others chose Board Game. We have agreed to wait for the results of the survey before confirming the type of game we would create.

I look forward to creating the survey and the next lesson so we can make our project more complete.

Week 8 Lesson 7 Reflections(Edward)

Today we did the edited version of the Survey questions. We planned that Kai Xiang would do the survey out and we would get started on it as soon as possible. I hope that we would continue to have good and fruitful lessons.

Week 8 Lesson 7 Reflections ( Kuan Yung )

Today we read Mrs Neo's comments and edited our survey. We have not confirmed it yet but Kai Xiang will be in charge of the survey. We've to complete all the things we've not completed yet from now till the March holidays and the surveys must be done by the March holidays. Please post on the blog if you think of better questions for the survey and inform Kai Xiang. Thanks

Our Survey : Edited

Voting : Type of Game for our Project

Kai Xiang, Myron and Shuyi think that we should do Role-playing games. How about we see the survey results first before we decide ?

Week 7 Lesson 6 (Edward)

This weeks task was to do give the factors the would help us with our surveys. We would then use them and conduct the survey(most likely in Maris Stella Primary School) and find out what our younger generation likes to play.

What i know about surveys
-Surveys are used to see what are the different factors that contribute to the number of people buying or using the products.
-Surveys are also used to see what are the opinions of the public and what are the things that they like or prefer.

Sorry for late work.

Week 7, Lesson 6 Reflection (Kai Xiang)

Facts (What I know about surveys):
Surveys can be used to find out information from the target audience and use that information for various purposes. Our survey is to be used to find out what the target audience wants from a weather game. For example, do they teamwork or competitive games more?

Ideas (What I think about surveys):
I think that surveys could be helpful and by asking useful questions (such as whether people like card or board games more), we can create rules in our games to fit the audience.

Learning Issues (What I found out in the survey):
Survey not completed yet.

Action Plans (What I can do after the survey):
We plan to choose the type of game we are creating (board game, card game or something else) and the rules we are going to use for the game.

Week 7 Lesson 6 Reflection ( Kuan Yung )

This weeks task was about Surveys and how it can help us.

My Reflection : What I know about Surveys

Surveys help us find out what our target/public like/thinks. Surveys can be answered through phone, an interview or own their own. Surveys involve questions, instructions, sampling and design, data-processing, pilot testing, response rate and testing results. Surveys have both open-ended and close-ended questions. I think Surveys are great for helping us find out from the public ( aged 8-14 ) what they want from our weather game ( their preferences ). I think surveys are useful for anyone and anyone. They are a fast and efficient way of finding out information from the public. After getting back all the survey results, we can analyze the survey results and build our game to suit what the majority of the public likes so that the majority will enjoy playing our weather game. We can even think of better questions to ask after each survey, so every survey we do gets better and better each time.

Task Allocation Form

Hey guys , please stick to your task and complete it by your deadline

Week 4 Reflection

This week, I don't think we actually finished what we had to do that week but the teacher told us we were ahead of time. We discussed about ideas for the board game and what we needed to make the game. I just hope we can finish out project on time.

Week 5 Lesson 4 (Edward)

This week, we did not manage to finish our task at hand but our teacher told us that we were ahead of time. During the week, we brainstormed all the different rules and regulations for our board game to work. We also decided whether the game will be a board game, card game and the different tools needed to play and operate the game. I hope that we can continue being ahead of task and hopefully finish the project either before or on time.

Week 5 Lesson 4 reflections ( Myron)

In this lesson, we gave ideas in making the board game. Everyone was contributing. We were also ahead of time. However, we did not finish our task this lesson as we were given too little time and there were too many ideas and we could not decide which one to follow.

Inflecto Project Planner A

Week 5 Lesson 4 Reflection ( Kuan Yung )

This week we came together and discussed what our end product would be like and roughly what to expect from the game. We're ahead of time ( which is great ) so we have more time to think and research and plan. I have posted the main points of our board game below there ( Go read it again ) I think everyone is doing a good job and contributing to the group.

Our Project : Grace Worksheet 4

Monday, February 1, 2010

Week 4 Lesson 3 Reflection ( Kuan Yung )

This week, we discussed in detail about what we're going to do about our project. I came up with an idea that I posted below ( please read ) . I created some rules but have not really gone into detail as of yet. I will continue to think and come up with a unique game thats fun, entertaining and educational for all. As everyone will come up with their own ideas, not everyone will agree to a particular game so we should all gather and maybe merge certain ideas and rules from each of our games.

What I enjoyed about this Session :

All of us gave interesting ideas about our project and showed great team spirit.

What I did not enjoy about this Session :

We were not given enough time to go into detail on our own idea on our game.

What could be done better the next time :

We should do our research at home and then bring our materials to discuss during IPW Lessons.
